چکیده

This study aims to develop three-dimension reduced graphene oxide aerogel supported nano zero-valent iron (rGOA-nZVI) by hydrothermal and liquid phase reduction approach applies it the removal of two typical dyes, methylene blue (MB) methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solutions. The obtained magnetic rGOA-nZVI composites were characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller, X-ray diffraction Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, its efficiencies for MB MO solutions evaluated. processes could be completed within 30 min, which well described pseudo-second order kinetic model. nanocomposites exhibited remarkable performance (the maximum adsorption amount, <i>q</i>max = 3918 mg/g) (<i>q</i>max 667 in a wide pH range (pH 1.0-10.0). Furthermore, is stable recyclable with high dye (> 90%) after five cycles. mechanisms demonstrated SEM XRD analyses before removal. showed that rGOA acts as an excellent carrier nZVI, are efficient materials advanced treatment wastewater over range.

Removal of Acid Red 18 dye from Aqueous Solutions Using Nanoscale Zero-Valent Iron

Background and Purpose:Organic dyes with a complex structure are often toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, non-biodegradation and stable in the environment and if released to the environment without treatment can endanger the environment and human health. The aim was to evaluate the performance nanoscalezero-valent iron (NZVI) in the removal of dye acid red 18 (AR18) from aqueous solutions. Materia...

Removal of As(III) and As(V) from aqueous solutions using nanoscale zero valent iron-reduced graphite oxide modified composites.

Nanoscale zero valent iron (NZVI) has high adsorption capacity of As(III) and As(V), but it is limited in practical use due to its small particle size and aggregation effect. Reduce graphite oxide (RGO) has been used as a support because of its high surface area. In order to utilize the advantage of NZVI and RGO as well as to avoid the disadvantage of NZVI, we loaded NZVI onto RGO via chemical ...

Aqueous phosphate removal using nanoscale zero-valent iron

Nanoscale zero-valent iron (NZVI) particles have been used for the remediation of a wide variety of contaminants. NZVI particles have high reactivity because of high reactive surface area. In this study, NZVI slurry was successfully used for phosphate removal and recovery. Batch studies conducted using different concentrations of phosphate (1, 5, and 10 mg PO4 -P/L with 400 mg NZVI/L) removed *...
